Lilly went to her heavenly home on July 17, 2017. She was born to Fred and Lydia Frey, June 12, 1919 in Leader, Saskatchewan, Canada. She came to the U.S. at the age of 6 years with her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Lilly was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; daughter Sharon; her parents; two brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son, Douglas, of Seattle; and one sister of Maple, MN.
Lilly was raised on a farm in North Dakota where she attended public schools. In her early 20's she moved to Maple where she met her future husband, who was stationed at Fort Snelling with the US Army. Following his discharge, they settled in Sheridan, WY. He was employed with Goodyear and transferred to Spokane in 1956, which was their future home.
They spent 55 wonderful years together. Lilly was employed by an insurance company and did many miscellaneous jobs over the years. She was a member of Life Center Church; a member of Hillyard Senior Center, where she volunteered many hours; also at the V.A. Hospital and nursing home. She was a Life Member of Hillyard #1474 VFW Auxiliary for over 60 years, having served the organization as Auxiliary President, District and State President. She received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the State of Washington.
Lilly and Lloyd's travels were many and they enjoyed their hobbies, golfing, fishing and bowling. Lilly loved to crochet.

A funeral service will be held at Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, 1306 N Monroe, Spokane, WA, Saturday, August 19, 2017, at 1 PM, with burial to follow at Fairmount Memorial Park. A reception will follow at the Spokane Valley VFW Post #1435, 212 S. David Rd, Spokane Valley, WA.
