M. RosaLee Unruh

Born to Arthur and Helen (Wolfe) Swenson on July 21, 1932 in Lynden, WA. The family moved to Spokane when she was four and she graduated from North Central High School. She pursued a career in nursing after graduating from Deaconess School of Nursing in 1953. She worked in a variety of settings: hospitals, doctor's offices, nursing homes, and Lakeland Village. She finished her career working for in-home nursing care until she retired in 2012.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, being in her garden, reading, sewing, reading and spending time with her friends and family. She never went anywhere without a book so we made sure her last trip included her Bible and a couple of books. When she was not engaged in these activities, she was helping other people, as demonstrated in her choice of profession.
She stepped into heaven on Sunday, July 16, 2017, five days shy of her 85th birthday, due to complications from a stroke and other health issues. She was lovingly and respectfully cared for during her last ten days by Hospice of Spokane at Hospice House North. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice House North.
RosaLee is survived by the children she dearly loved: Lisa (Arnold), Scott, Eric (Jean), Laura (Jack), and Karen; grandchildren Kate and Ben (Jen); and many dear friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, August 4, 2017, 2:00 PM at Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N Country Homes Blvd, Spokane, WA.
Arrangements under the direction of Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home, Spokane, WA.
